The Library

Irene sat in the corner of the libraryy. She had a large pile of books on the Dark Arts and repelling them next to her. She was reading one, and practising wand movements when Harry, Ron and Hermione entered. She watched them through her lashes until they left. Then she put two of the books in her bag and walked out.

"Hey Irene," Harry said when he entered with Ron and Hermione.

Amethyst runs in quickly. "I'm here! Sorry I am la-" Bumps into Harry.

"Sorry."

"S'okay," Harry says with a smile. "Hello Amethyst."

"I didn't even see you there Harry. I was in a rush to meet with my brother..." Looks around. "But he isn't even here. I guess I left Fred and George for no reason then." She looks back at Harry. "What brings you here? I hardly ever see you here."

"Hermione," Harry said and looked around. "Okay, Ron and her with just here...." He shrugged. "Irene distracted me. She's so pretty.... but whenever I try to talk to her she's gone when i look back."

"Ooooo, someone likes Irene." Giggles and smiles. "Hey, I'll let you in on something." She looks around. "I happen to know that she has a crush on you."

Harry smiled a bit. "Really?" he grinned. "You should tell her to come and hang out with me. Since you two are both in Ravenclaw. Oh hey, what happened in Snape's class today? I heard something about Malfoy Jr crying?"

"Maybe I'll have to tell her that. I see you every night." Smiles. "Oh yeah, it was really bad. We had to make a truth telling potion and Snape picked Nara to test it. Turns out she was taking the blame for someone else on something and she didn't want her dad to find out..." Sighs. "I tried to take it but he wouldn't let me."

Harry nodded. "I hate Snape, he's such..." he shook his head and ran a thumb over his left hand that had 'I must not tell lies' written in his flesh four times.

Amethyst looks at Harry's Hand and picks it up. " I heard people talking but I didn't think it was true." Breathes in and slowly lets it out. " Nobody really cares for Snape, unless your in his house."

Harry looked at his hand. "She did it to Evelyn too. Because she stuck up for me. She wrote like seven lines before it started imprinting into her flesh. She was trying so hard not to cry..." he shook his head. "True."

"I didn't even see it on Evelyn's hand." Seems shocked. " Something has to be done. Hasn't anyone brought this up to the other teachers?"

"She's covered it up, it's down her arm, left one. She's put make-up over it, but you can still see it slight." Harry said then shrugged. "I think Kaalee was going to tell her dad, but Hell if he cares about me, though. He'll probably do nothing. Without Dumbledore here... she'd take over the school, but he's still here, so we should be good right?"

"I just can't believe it all. She shouldn't even be here teaching at all." Lets Harry's hand go. "As long as Dumbledore is here we will be just fine. He won't let things get to bad..."

Harry nodded with a smile.

Amethyst smiles too. "I still can't believe you didn't tell me." She says laughing giving Harry a light push in the arm. Trying to lighten the mood.

Harry shrugs and smiles. "I forgot?" he laughed.

"That's so lame Harry." She says laughing.

Harry laughed. "It's the truth!"

"I can't believe you." She says laughing. "How is it that a boy as brilliantine as you can be so forgetful."

"I'm Harry Potter, it's what I do," Harry said trying to keep a straight face.

Amethyst is sitting at a table with six books to her side. She has one book opened and is reading through it while taking notes down into her little blue notebook. She seems confused as reading.

"Hi there!" Jenna smiled at the girl she sat down across from. "You're Amethyst, right?"
